摘要

A short overview of modelling alternatives for root oxygen uptake and consumption during hypoxic conditions is provided. Some proposed experimental and mathematical models to describe specific oxygen-consumption profiles of root tissues during the transition from normoxia to anoxia using a series of metabolic parameters that are constant through time are discussed and a systematic analysis of various modelling alternatives that describe different theoretically possible combinations of oxygen uptake and metabolism is highlighted.
