On the lower bounds for Schatten-von Neumann norms of certain Volterra integral operators

It is shown that the Schatten-von Neumann p-norm of a Volterra integral operator of the form Kf(x) = v(x) integral(0)(x) k(x, y) u(y) f(y) dy (f is an element of L-2(R+), x greater than or equal to 0) is sandwiched, when 2 less than or equal to p < infinity, by an integral expression similar to the well-known Hilbert-Schmidt norm.
