Implant placement should be re-storatively driven to eliminate or reduce complications during the restorative phase.1 The correct placement and an-gulation of dental implants are necessary for the functional and esthetic success of the prosthesis. Often, the restorative dentist will complete a diagnostic waxing to determine implant placement. This information, along with radiographs and the clinical examination, aids the restorative daentist in determining implant angulation, ce-mentoenamel junction (CEJ) position, and the mesiodistal and buccolingual position of the implant. This information is transferred to the surgeon via a surgical template, eliminating guesswork at the time of surgery.
