Repositioning implant replicas after soldering a fixed complete denture framework.

Rehabilitation of an edentulous jaw with a fixed prosthesis requires die placement of multiple implants,1 which are connected, to the prosthesis. The fabrication of implant-supported screw-retained prostheses necessitates many clinical and laboratory stages, which should be very accurate.2" However, each stage in the fabrication process can result in errors, which may contribute to misfit of the superstructure in relation to the implants. Thus, soldering becomes a routine procedure in implant prosthodontics.After soldering, the metal framework does not fit the transmucosal elements on the final cast. This article presents a simple technique to reposition the implant replicas and the transmucosal elements after soldering procedures, for the laboratory technician to proceed with porcelain application.
