Question Among children with prolonged febrile illness, what is the diagnostic accuracy of a beside, computerized algorithm, compared with standard American Heart Association criteria, in differentiating Kawasaki disease (KD) from other febrile illnesses?Design Diagnostic-test characteristic analysis of a prospec-tively assembled (over 12 years) demographic, clinical, and laboratory database of patients with KD and febrile controls (FCs; prolonged febrile illness with some features of KD but without predominant respiratory or gastrointestinal symptoms) and development of an algorithm for use at the bedside (online or via smartphone).
