Mingxu Wang and Xueliang Wang's (2010) engaging and cogent argument in "Organ Donation by Capital Prisoners in China: Reflections in Confucian Ethics" is an indispensable contribution to bioethics. Professors Wang and Wang argue that prisoners who have been convicted of capital crimes, with the agreement of their families, should be permitted to donate organs upon their execution.
