摘要

Total hip arthroplasty is one of the most common and successful orthopedic surgeries performed in adults, though complications can occur. One such complication, periprosthetic femoral fracture (PFF), has become more common in recent years due to the increasing elderly population, use of arthroplasty in younger patients with an active lifestyle, and large osteolysis in patients with hip prosthesis [1,2]. Approximately 1% of PFFs occur after primary surgery and 4% occur after revision surgery [3].
