It was with interest that I read the article "Are Implant Designer Series Believable? Comparison of Survivorship between Designer Series and National Registries" by Bedair et al. Unfortunately, however, I must say that the paper exhibits a few serious shortcomings and deviations from general scientific standards. It does neither refer to a common standard such as the PRISMA Statement, nor does it list the publications examined in the references. It does neither mention product names nor the names of the designers so that the paper is not in the least reproducible and cannot be assessed in a serious way.
