Linear lupus panniculitis of the scalp presenting as alopecia along Blaschko's lines: A variant of lupus panniculitis not unique to East Asians

We read with great interest the article by Chen et al. on linear lupus panniculitis of the scalp (LLPS) presenting with alopecia along Blaschko's lines.1 Based on their review of the published work, they theorize that LLPS is a variant of lupus panniculitis that is unique to people of Asian descent.1 However, we were able to identify two additional cases of LLPS presenting within the lines of Blaschko in patients of Caucasian descent that were published prior to the review by Chen et al. Herein, we present the third case of LLPS within Blaschko's lines in a Caucasian man. LLPS is a rare presentation of lupus panniculi-tis that likely occurs in patients of various ethnicities.
