摘要

In this paper equivalence classes of closed intervals in R and fuzzy numbers in M, where R is the set of real numbers, are analyzed. The collection of equivalence classes of closed intervals in R and R are proved equivalent. Also, a fuzzy valued basic probability assignment is introduced using equivalence class representation of fuzzy numbers and it is applied to statistical fuzzy decision problems, which involve fuzzy valued basic probability assignments and fuzzy valued utilities.
