Presence of palmaris longus related variations in three members of a family

Dear Sir, Unusual asymptomatic soft-tissue masses in the middle of the flexor aspect of the forearm were seen in three members of a family. In all cases they became firmer and more prominent with flexion of the wrist and hand against resistance, thus suggesting similar inherited muscular variations.
