Re: Modified Brunelli's procedure to cure carpal instability due to scapholunate disassociation

Dear Sir, At several meetings, most recently the Federation of European Societies for Surgery of the Hand (FESSH) meeting in Lausanne (19-21 June 2008), I have listened to presentations of the results of the 'Modified Brunelli procedure' for correction of scapholunate disassociation. These report that the procedure provides pain relief but that recurrence of the dissociation is often observed on the radiographs. All these presentations suggest that rupture of the scapholunate ligament causes the scapholunate disassociation.
