In a first for Standards Australia a new Committee has been formed to deal with the needs of Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Initially the project will distil the key points from the Risk Management, knowledge Management, Quality Management, Complaints Handling and Dispute Resolution Standards into a form that is easily understandable from the perspective of SMEs. According to Standards Australia's Projects Manager, Mr James Thomson: "It is important to understand that SMEs have a set of unique characteristics which set them apart from large corporates and these characteristics must be addressed when producing an application guide."
