National specs' for public works on-line

Standards Australia and the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia [IPWEA] have entered into an agreement to maintain and deliver technical specifications on-line to the public works and civil construction industry across Australia. Under the agreement, Standards Australia will provide ongoing development, maintenance and distribution of the AUS-SPEC National Specification Series. The Executive General Manager of Standards Development at Standards Australia, Mr Peter Walsh, said: "This deal will deliver significant benefits to members of the IPWEA and other users of AUS-SPEC who are also major users of Australian Standards, who will soon be able to access this technical information in an instant through the Internet via Standards Australia's distribution channels."
