Foot and Mouth disease is endemic in India and widely distributed. The control programme entirely depends upon the vaccination schedule. The vaccine produced by various agencies in India undergo riggorous quality control test before its release in the market. This paper reports about the comparative quality control assessment in vitro and in vivo over a period of six years of type 'Asia - 1' and '0' vaccines prepared at IVRI, Bangalore.
