105 dogs with circular alopecic lesions, erythema and dandruff were investigated for dermatophytosis. Skin scrapings were examined and cultured for fungi. Skin scrapings examination revealed fungal hyphae, micro and macroconidia in 20 percent dogs andconcurrent fungal and demodicosis in 8 percent dogs. The fungal growth was observed on DTM and SDA media in 22.85 percent dogs. Majority of fungal isolates were identified as Microsporum canis, Trichiphyton mentagrophyte and M. gypseum. Young dogs weremore affected. Complete recovery was observed in 31.42 percent dogs with systemic and topical antifungal treatment for 21 days.
