Monster is an individual having multiple anomalies involving many organs and systems of the body. The causes of anomalies are not always known, most of them have their origins within the first few weeks after fertilization. However, some may develop in later pregnancy. Quite a few are hereditary. Others are due to environmental influences, such as exposure to teratogenic drugs or viral infection during pregnancy (Roberts, 1971). Some of the anomalies might be having combined effects of genetic and environmental factors in their development (Vegad and Katiyar, 1998).
