Seroprevalence of Brucellosis {Brucella abortus) in Cattle of Chhattisgarh

Brucellosis is one of the important infectious diseases of economic and public health significance. In cattle, B. abortus mainly affects the reproductive organs of infected animals characterized by abortion during the third trimester of gestation or stillbirth and weak calves with abortions, metritis, orchitis and epididymitis (England et al., 2004). There is a need to measure the prevalence of Brucella abortus in the dairy cattle farms. This study provides information about the status of the brucellosis in cattle in Chhattisgarh.
