Gross Morphology and Biometry of Epididymis in Buffalo Foetii

The epididymal duct / mesonephric duct appeared as elongated, straight tubule on the ventrolateral aspect of mesonephros at 9 m CVRL (69 days) in buffalo foetii. At this stage, it was located in abdominal cavity and then migrated in the inguinal region at 19 cm CVRL (114 days) and was lodged in scrotum at 39 cm CVRL (162 days). The mesonephric duct was differentiated into epididymis at 25 cm CVRL (130 days) and divided into caput, corpus and cauda parts. All the gross biometrical parameters (length,breadth, thickness, weight and volume) increased with the increase in age of buffalo foetii.
