The study was conducted to determine the effect of fibrolytic enzyme treatment of ammoniated sorghum stover on the nutrient intake and utilization of 15 crossbred calves. The calves were divided into three groups and fed with ad libitum-untreated (group 1), urea treated (group 2), and ammoniated stover treated with fibrolytic enzyme (group 3). Results revealed that the dry matter intake in groups 1, 2 and 3 were 3.64, 3.45 and 3.94 kg, respectively. Digestibility coefficient of dry matter and organic matter were comparable among the groups, but fibre digestibility was significantly higher in groups 2 and 3. Crude protein digestibility was highest in T1 than T2 and T3. DCP and TDN intakes were not significantly different among the groups. It is concluded that inclusion of fibrolytic enzyme on ammoniated sorghum stover has no significant on nutrient utilization of crossbred calves.
