摘要

This study was conducted to identify the immunodominant proteins of Pasteurella multocida from ducks. Two strains of P. multocida isolated from ducks (DPI and DP25) were compared with a fowl isolate. Two protein bands with 37.15 and 26.36 kDa molecular weights were thicker than the others, suggesting that these were the major outer membrane proteins (OMPs). The isolates DPI and FPI were serotyped as A:1. Based on the thickness of the band, the 37.15 kDa OMP was found to be the major antigenic protein in all the 3 isolates (DPI, DP25 and FPI). Two other proteins with molecular weights of 31.33 and 26.36 kDa, which stained less intensely than the 37.15 kDa protein, could also be considered as major antigens. No difference in the OMP5 was observed between fowl and duck isolates.
