Cotton markets sluggish in March

The cotton lint prices in Indian markets were moderately steady during March 2002. Arrivals thinned in the northern cotton kappas markets. But in Gujarat and Andhra belts, the kappas inflow was regular and of good volume. Mills buying were of small lots and enquiries for good quality lots continued. Mills are not going in for their bulk purchases since the demand for their finished goods are sluggish.
