Integrated Management of the Cotton Boll Weevil in Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay (CFC/ICAC 04)

The project "Integrated Management of the Boll Weevil" in Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay was initiated as an example to prioritize integrated pest management and to emphasize international cooperation.The National Servicefor Phytosanitary and Agra Food Quality (SENASA), Argentina was responsible for coordination of project work but actual research was undertaken at many locations by more than one organization within a country. In Brazil and Paraguay, national coordinators, as in Argentina, facilitated in collection of research results and dissemination to SENASA. The Ministries of Agriculture in Brazil and Paraguay were actively involved in the implementation of the project.
