RD 2592, developed from RD 2503 x UBL 9, is a new high yielding barley cultivar suitable for normal sowing conditions under high fertility irrigated conditions for the warmer areas of Rajasthan, India. It has consistently shown high degree of resistance to yellow and brown rusts, and moderate resistance to cereal cyst nematode [Heterodera avenae]..
