This paper presents the results of an experimental analysis on a typical inverted V-notch (IVN). Effect of crest width and height on coefficient of discharge (C_d) has been investigated. The coefficient of discharge is found to attain an average value of O.600 to 0.606 with a maximum variation of ±2% in either case. Discharge computations are found to be compatible with the linearity equation with a maximum allowable error of ±2%.
