Quantitative data on the performance of vegetative or bioremedial measures like drainage line treatment channel stabilization and silt retention are generally not available. This paper presents the evaluation of channel bioremedial measures in retaining silt stabilising channels and reducing sadiment yield through a participatory case study of Integratad Watershed Development at Relmajra watershed in Punjab. These measures supported with loose boulder check dams stabilized the channel and reduced sedimentation to the Badholi dam by 77%. Loss of submergence area at full lake level came down to 0.85% in the third year as compared to 28.4% during the first two years. Lass of storage capacity of 36.5% during first two years also came down to 4.1 in the third year.
