摘要

Uranium being one of the prime elements needed for the much desire nuclear energy potential in the ,....untry is available in the SSZ sector of Jharkhand. Various operative mines are located along the arcuate tectonic/ shear belt. Apart from the lithological variations and diverse mineral assemblages en countered in the area. The ore bodies themselves exhibit a characteristic configuration which required intelligent mining options and techniques to harness the maximum yield at the lowest cost with safer mining practices. Present paper deals with the three recognized uranium mines centering Narwapahar and analyse the different ore body geometries within the mines in order to explore the suitable mining techniques and exploration strategies in the SSZ,:tor which can augment the resources for the much needed nuclear energy in the country,
