As a member of the PMC~R family of Programmable Mining Controls, the Bucyrus PMCO-P offers a standalone XP optical-fiber Ethernet solution for state-of-the-art communication between controllers, the computer network and third-party systems. This allows real-time data exchange between subsystems and monitoring and control from underground or surface control centers. The system allows data rates of up to 100 Mbit/s and transmission over a range of up to 9 km without repeaters. The PMC~R-P comes in a flameproof (FLP) housing and is powered by a single 12V 1.4 A power supply.
