President's address at 23rd Annual General Meeting held on 18th May, 1996 at Pondichery

Hon'ble Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, Dignitaries on dais, Past Presidents, Ladies, Guests & Dear fellow Members! I stand before you this evening to address on the occasion of 23rd AGM of our Association at Pondichery. Tamilnadu chapter aptly selected this venue and deserves compliments from all of us. Our Association has a very rich heritage which has been built by illustrious Past Presidents since its inception in 1957. At times the Association was near dormancy but succeeding Past Presidents brought the Association to become alive and flourishing. I would be failing if mention is not made of the contributions made by Padmabhushan G.L. Tandon. During his Presidency, the Association spread its wings beyond Barbil-Barajamda sector to become truly an All India Organisation. At this juncture, I would like to further recall the tremendous boost given by our two immediate Past Presidents viz. Mr. M. Fasihuddin and Mr. K.K. Biran. I wish to thankfully acknowledge their contributions for making our Association as a vibrant entity.
