Computer Aided Flow Sheet Design

摘要

With the advances in Information Technology it is now possible to include the algorithms for process simulation in interactive graphic programs so that each unit in the plant flow sheet can be interactively selected while studying the effect of the specified parameters on the flow rates and grades of the different products. This paper describes the use of a prototype package for such interactive flow sheet design. The package needs a fixed data file giving the information on the equipment/processes available, The design calculations require the detailed size analysis and size wise chemical analyses of the feed ore. The design can be carried out in stages. Large flow sheets have to be partitioned into smaller components, each component being designed in one or more stages.
