The Indian construction industry, an integral part of our economy and conduit for substantial part of its development investment, is poised for growth due to urbanization, economic development and people's aspiration for better standard of living. Construction not only adds to more than 7.5% to India's GDP, but also contributes to more than 65% of the total capital formation. The current 5 year plan portrays ambitious schemes for construction and up-gradation of physical infrastructure in India. Transportation network consisting of roads, railways, airports, metros, ports etc contribute to a major part of plans and spending in infrastructure development in the country.
