Its rich human and natural resources are getting better utilised with passage of time and it is strongly felt that India will merge in the world economic scene as a major power within next 20 years. However. This prognostication is based on the hope that the country will succeed in charting the right course in optimal development of energy production from the various conventional and non-conventional source through choice of the right energy - mix.
