We studied the effects of a mixing level and a zwitterionic detergent on the Belousov-Zhabotinsky (BZ) reaction. This study was investigated by systematically changing the mixing level, the solution viscosity, and the density of the BZ reaction. The mixing level was controlled by the stirring bar speed, and the solution viscosity and density were changed by the addition of 3-[(3-Cholamidopropyl) dimethylammonio] propanesulfonate as a zwitterionic detergent. This study revealed that three types of oscillations with phase differences appeared depending on the mixing level, the solution viscosity, and the density of the BZ reaction. We also found that the critical micellization concentration played an important role in the oscillation of the BZ reaction.
