The Microphorella chillcotti species group: a distinctive lineage of parathalassiine flies from western North America (Diptera: Empidoidea: Dolichopodidae s.l.)

The Microphorella chillcotti species group is established for two new species from western North America: Microphorella chillcotti sp. nov. and Microphorella vockerothi sp. nov. The relationships of this lineage to the remainder of the Microphorella group of genera are discussed.
