Captive Fastener Corp.'s floating clinch nuts provide strong threads in thin sheet metal using a movable nut element that compensates for mating panel misalignment of up to 0.030 in. (0.8 mm).The floating nuts are available with heat-treated carbon steel (CFAS series) and 300 series stainless steel (CFAC series) housings.The floating nut housing incorporates a STARBURST~(TM) retainer design, which provides increased torque resistance for the inner locking nut element.
