Turret press's Auto Index design precludes tooling collisions, slippage, and wear; provides option to use one station

The Tailift CP1500 turret punch press, manufactured by Tailift Co., Ltd., Taiwan, features thick tooling, a rugged bridge design, a brush table, and a patented-design Auto Index.The Auto Index includes two 3.5-in. stations, each independently driven. Sine the frame (drive) and turret (driven) side shafts do not overlap during rotation, users do not experience slippage or collision damage, reports the manufacturer.Similarly, this independent-drive design results in less wear and provides the potential to continue using one station in case one malfunctions.The 33-ton, 1/4-in.-capacity mechanical punch press has a 40-station turret that accepts standard thick-style tooling from 0.5 to 4.5 in. Oil mist punching is available as an option.
