Novel iridium complexes with ligands of 2-phenyl-imidazo[l,2-alpha]pyridines were prepared,and the emission maxima were found to be unusually dependent on the substituents on the phenyl ring.An OLED using the derivative was fabricated to show white emission.Recently,phosphorescent materials such as iridium (Ir) and platinum (Pt) complexes have attracted great attention because of their applications to organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs).
