In the final instalment of John Sutton's review of the 2011 Flower Trials from Holland and Germany, he looks at a special trio of plants. Pelargonium and dahlia are among the best-known and longest established of garden favourites. Garvinea, the garden gerbera series that has attracted huge attention in the last two years, is very much a newcomer to the horticultural scene, and introduces quite new possibilities, in Northern Europe especially.
