IPM Dubai 2008, held in Dubai last month, was the third and biggest yet. Clive Marlow reports on some of the exhibitors present. The show attracted 230 exhibitors from 28 countries and brought in professional growers and buyers from across the MiddleEast. Initial estimates are that over 3000 trade visitors attended the three day show. The Middle East is one of the fastest growing regions for horticultural products in the world. Throughout The Gulf new parks, hotel gardens, public highways and business parks are being developed, leading to an unprecedented boom in horticulture. This presents a golden opportunity for UK exporters of plants and technical horticultural equipment - an opportunity that is being seized by other European countries.
