An unusual abundance of Badister subg. Baudia Ragusa(Carabidae) in Co. Waterford, Ireland

During a wetland survey in summer 2009 an unusual abundance of Badister subgenusBaudia Ragusa, species of which are normally rare, was recorded at three sites in Co.Waterford. The sites lie on a line which runs NW to SE from Ballyshunnock Reservoir(S451096), through Knockaderry Reservoir (S493064) 5 km south-east, to BallyscanlanLough (S542032) a further 5 km from Knockaderry. The sites lie about 10 km west ofWaterford City.
