Northumbrian Water pound34m state-of-the-art Wear Valley water treatment works is set alongside an existing facility near Bunthorpe reservoir,in the heart of the North Pennines area of outstanding natural beauty.For a project in this position,the company had to pull out all the stops.Lots of local stakeholder consultation;not 'good' practice but 'the best'.The work included buildings for water and sludge treatment and a covered treated water reservoir.
