Dialog to boost oil from ageing field

DIALOG has signed a US$1.24bn deal with a subsidiary of Halliburton to jointly manage oilfield services at the Bayan oil field, as Petronas seeks to improve oil production at the ageing field. The deal lasts for 24 years, and follows an agreement in November between Halliburton's Asia Energy Services and Petronas Cahgali, the exploration division of the state-oil company, to enhance recoverable reserves at the Bayan field, which is located offshore of Malaysian Borneo.
