Johor lands new petchem complex: Gulf complex to include refinery and polypropylene unit

MALAYSIAN engineering and construction companies KNM and Zecon have agreed to build a 17b ringgit (US$5.75b) integrated petrochemical complex for Gulf Asian Petroleum. In a stock exchange filing, KNM announced that the facility will be based at Teluk Ramunia, in the state of Johor. When completed, the facility will have an oil 150,000-200,000 bbl/d, as well as a 400,000-525,000 t/y polypropylene unit.
