New Australasia director appointed

PETER Slane has been appointed IChemE's director for Australasia, following Jan Althorp's departure at the end of May. Slane studied chemical engineering at Auckland University, New Zealand, before heading to Australia where he worked with government and public entities on a range of projects including recycling initiatives and conversion of a waste stream into a valuable saleable product.
