The SBA's Centenary falls this year, marking one hundred years of commitment to the beekeepers of Scotland. Through good seasons or bad, through periods of struggle or of progress, little could have been achieved without the dedicated, often unremitting, service by innumerable volunteers. How therefore is it possible, or even warranted, to nominate a mere handful as "Beekeeping 'Worthies' of Scotland"? How can one even start to differentiate between the 44 Presidents, the 11 Editors, the innumerableSecretaries, Treasurers, C6nveners, Officers and other title-holders who have served the SBA over that period? Also in the equation are the Beekeeping Lecturers and Advisors in the Colleges of Agriculture, who played such a supportive role, together with the army of helpers who have staffed so many special events during the past century.
