摘要

Chao Wen and others at the Department of Chemistry and Shanghai Key Laboratory of Molecular Catalysis and Innovative Materials, Fudan University, Shanghai (PRC) fabricated a cobalt-decorated Cu/ hexagonal mesoporous silica (HMS) catalyst with only 1 wt.% cobalt loading and observed a remarkable enhancement in its catalytic performance of converting dimethyloxalate (DMO) to ethylene glycol (EG). The catalyst that was synthesized by a Co-Cu co-ammonia-evaporation method afforded 100% yield of EG, even at a relatively high liquid hourly space velocity (LHSV). After 150 h of time on stream, with a LHSV of 1.2 h~(-1) both the conversion and the selectivity remained unchanged.
