Arturo Torres, owner of Veladi Ranch, Kenedy, Texas, and prominent San Antonio businessman, is chairman of the board of the new chain of steak houses. Veladi Ranch Steak House opened its first restaurant on Highway 281 north of the downtown area in San Antonio. Torres and Carter Leon Burns, his primary partner in the chain, plan to expand into a national chain of steak houses.
