BASF, Evonik Industries, Mitsubishi Chemical and Mitsui Chemicals have signed a letter of intent (LOI) with CPC Corp. (Taipei) to develop production of high-value specialty petrochemicals. CPC is expected to hold 50% in the venture with the other partners sharing the balance. The project, still in the early stages, foresees production of specialty petrochemicals both in Taiwan and overseas.
