Field visualization of transient ultrasound fields on panels based on the refracto-vibrometry

Many methods of non-destructive testing apply ultrasonic techniques. Among others, the ultrasonic inspection is used for non-destructive delamination detection of wood-based materials. To analyze and optimize this process it is necessary to have a better understanding of the sound propagation. In order to visualize the transient propagation behavior of the ultrasonic waves, the refracto-vibrometry can be used.
