Arkema's Coatex subsidiary is buying an additives and emulsions production site at Aracariguama, near Sao Paulo, Brazil, from Resicryl (Sao Paulo). The facility makes emulsions used in mineral processing, paint, adhesives, paper, construction, water treatment, and cosmetics. Arkema expects "strong growth" in many of those markets in Latin America, the company says. Therefore, with the new facility, Arkema's Coatex subsidiary is expected to generate $20 million/year in sales in Brazil. "The Aracariguama site is ideally placed to fulfll the expectations of both our existing and our future customers.
